We have an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Fellow in Palliative and End of Life Care to work in a Trust awarded outstanding for end-of-life care (CQC 2020). This is an ideal post for an individual looking to further clinical palliative care skills and gain opportunities for engaging in Quality Improvement Projects and teaching experience to further core training opportunities.
This post is a excellent opportunity fora CT1 grade doctor interested in a career in General Medicine/Palliative Medicine or General Practice. The person will have an opportunity to develop Palliative Medicine practice within a supportive, collegiate environment, whilst also developing a recognised clinical teaching portfolio.
Main duties of the job
To work clinically with the ESHT Supportive and Palliative Care Team (SPCT) in assessing and managing patients as part of multi-disciplinary team.
To engage in Quality Improvement Projects and Audit within the trust as part of the SPCT.
To contribute to departmental teaching activities.
In addition to gain hospice and community palliative care experience by providing a 1 in 5 weekend first on-call cover for St Michael's Hospice, St Leonards-on-Sea (additional Programmed Activity and day in lieu can be agreed as part of job plan once in post).
