Continuity of Carer Team Midwife - Young Parents
The post holder will be committed and passionate inproviding continuity of care with a specialist interest inproviding personalised enhanced care to young parents. Youwill provide continuity during the antenatal, intrapartum andpostnatal period to pregnant people whom may choose or berecommended to give birth at home, in the birth centre or in anobstetric setting.
You will be involved in the holistic care of young parents including safeguarding, parent education and wider public health issues.
Better Births set a specific expectation that each womanwould have "a midwife she knows at the birth" amongst otherrequirements.
Evidence shows that continuity models improve safety and outcomes.Continuity of carer is an important tool in meeting our ambition to provide personalised care to all.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will practice in a safe, caring andprofessionally competent manner in accordance with MidwivesRules and Code of Practice and those of the NMC and theLocal Supervising Authority. You will also work in accordance with EastSussex Healthcare NHS Trust policies and standards,wherever those practice will take place
We have part time, permanent and fixed term roles available, 25-30 hours per week
