Job summary

Berwick Cardiovascular Ward is a busy, acute 28 bedded Ward thatspecialises in Cardiology with Elective and Emergency admissions. We are lucky enough to be having a new bay with cardiac monitoring of level 2 patients this can bring an increase in learning and development. We also have Endocrinology, Diabetes and Step-down from Stroke patients. A multidisciplinary approach to care is practised.

We pride ourselves on having a friendly and welcoming team - both Nursing and Medical - where you never feel alone and you get the support that you need. We also work very closely with our colleagues from Adult Social Care and Allied Health Professionals - Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists and with our Mental Health Team.

Main duties of the job

The Registered Nurse will provide a high standard of nursing care by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of patient care. The post holder will work closely with the Nurse/ Team Manager and Team Leaders. Your responsibilities will include undertaking clinical skills and treatments and the safe admission and discharge of patients.
