Clinical Support Worker – Seaford Elderly Care Ward - EDGH

Job summary
Seaford Ward is a 27-bed Elderly Care Ward with four six-bedded bays and three side rooms. We care for patients with multiple medical conditions, complex medication needs, and those requiring specialist support at home or in care settings. Patients may be acutely unwell, have dementia or delirium, mobility difficulties, a history of falls, or general frailty.
We are seeking experienced Clinical Support Workers. Hospital experience is desirable but not essential. Required qualifications include GCSE English and Maths (grade C/4), or Functional Skills, and the Care Certificate and/or NVQ2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent. Duties include delegated clinical procedures such as cannula removal/insertion, venepuncture, wound assessment, simple dressings, and catheter removal. Training will be provided.
Successful applicants will complete an induction with all statutory and mandatory training. You should be motivated, committed to high standards of patient care, and eager to develop professionally. Strong communication skills, initiative, and teamwork are essential.
