You will be working collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary teams dedicated to ensuring high quality care of people with endocrine conditions in ESHT.
We are looking for experienced Clinical Support Workers, hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or Functional skills for English/Maths, Care Certificate and or NVQ2 two in health and social care or the equivalent qualification. Your core roles will be to support the D & E specialist nurses and the team undertaking delegated clinical procedures such as CBG monitoring, CGM and Insulin pump activities, to name a few. Provide patient education, working closely with the D & E nursing team including supporting inpatient activities and accurately document all interventions and care provided. The role is dynamic and tasks are regularly reviewed as per service requirements.

Successful applicants will be required to complete an Induction course, which will include all the Trust statutory/Mandatory training to join our team inviting them to share their knowledge and experience with the ward; you will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.
You must be able to work as part of a team, use your own initiative with effective interpersonal and communication skills, contributing fully as a member of the multi-disciplinary team. We will provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship and clinical supervision on the unit and are committed to the professional development of all staff. Team working is an integral part of this unit with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patient.
