Job summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Radiology Department Assistant to assist radiographic, nursing and medical staff with clinical and administrative duties working a combination of 9-5, 8-4, 12-8 and 8-8 duties Monday to Sunday.
Applicants must have a minimum of 6 Months experience (current) in a similar role in a Health or Social Care Environment. Possession of NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care OR an acceptable, alternative Level 2 Qualification will be an advantage.Good communication skills with a sympathetic approach to patients and carers are also essential.

Main duties of the job
Working 9-5, 8-4, 12-8 and 8-8 (45 minute break - 11.25 hour duty, 30 min break on 7.5 hours) on a rota basis covering Monday to Sunday.
Full time hours are available.
You will be providing support for patients undergoing varied Radiology examinations to allay anxiety, observing and monitoring patients awaiting scans reporting any changes in patient's condition, assisting with pre and post-procedure care required by all patients. assisting with cleaning tasks, errands and general duties appropriate to all clinical areas, assisting with patient's personal clinical care, assisting with the safe positioning and transferring of patients to the procedural table/couches.
You will also be supporting Radiographers by entering and updating patient documentation and records, utilising the computerised information systems when required and assisting in clerical duties such as answering the phone and accurately relaying messages as appropriate.
RDA's support the flow within Radiology so allowing Radiographers to maintain efficient and timely lists
