Team Lead Highly Specialised Neuro Rehabilitation Physiotherapist

Job summary

To undertake highly specialist clinical physiotherapyassessments and treatments appropriate to Band 7 gradeincluding work requiring particular expertise or ability.

To be responsible for the delivery of neuro outpatient servicein the Hastings & Rother, Eastbourne, Hailsham & Seafordand High Weald and Lewes Havens area, and ensure themanagement of patients along the pathways is efficient andclinically effective. This includes aquatic physiotherapy andother specialist therapeutic interventions

Main duties of the job

To work with the Service Manager to continually review, develop and refine pathways of care, facilitating the delivery of a robust, innovative and expert service.

To take the lead in supervision, education and appraisals of B7, B6 and B5 physiotherapists, Physiotherapist Assistants and students.

To fully integrate within the wider network of therapy services, working in collaboration with other Team Leads to ensure there is consistency and assurance across the services within East Sussex.

Striving to improve all aspects of evidenced based practice and quality assurance, working with the wider MDT including but not limited to JCR, MSK, ESHT inpatients, Neurologists, MS and PD Specialist Nurses, MND Co-ordinators, Hospice Teams and Chaseley Trust through joint working, forums and audits.

To support the Physiotherapy Professional Leads with the development of professional standards associated with Physiotherapy.
