Main duties of the job
We are seeking an experienced Dietitian to join our Community Nutrition Support Dietetic team at East Sussex Healthcare Trust.
This isan exciting specialist position working within the community nutritional support team and collaboratively across our integrated acute andcommunity pathways, to provide seamless patient care.
You will work as part of the community dietetic team, to support the specialist nutrition and dietetic management of patients across East Sussex. Usingspecialist knowledge and skills to assess and treat a variety of patients in clinics, in their home or care setting, as well as remote appointments.
You will have the opportunity to consolidate and develop clinical skills needed to manage nutritionally complex patients requiring both enteral and oral nutrition support.
You will be able to participate in regular audit of services in line with Team objectives provided, identifying and carrying out research where indicated.
Our Community Nutrition Support Team consists of dietetic assistants, apprentice dietitians, and Band 5,6 and Band 7 dietitians. You will be working alongside the Band 7 team and clinical leads, as well as our new ACP Dietitians. You will be able to help supervise student dietitians and our dietetic assistants, along with providing training and support to our band 5 rotational dietitians.
