Job summary
We now have a number of exciting opportunities to recruit to our MSK specialist outpatient physiotherapy service, at East Sussex NHS Healthcare Trust.
We are looking for enthusiastic and highly motivated physiotherapists keen to develop their MSK skills, to recruit into permanent Band 6 roles across our East and West Rotations. Consideration will also be given to permanent Band 5 to 6 annexe 21 developer roles, dependant on individual MSK experience and professional qualification.
Main duties of the job
We deliver integrated musculoskeletal services in the Hastings and Rother localities, alongside service delivery in the High Wealds, Eastbourne and Hailsham areas, working with the Sussex MSK Partnership. Delivery of care pathways operate across the East and West locality, with all staff working cross site with annual rotation, providing MSK physiotherapy services at 8 outpatient settings across East Sussex.
As part of a varied Band 6 MSK rotation, you will have the opportunity to develop assessment and treatment skills in: hydrotherapy, hand therapy, rheumatology, and to broaden your development within our UL, LL, Spinal and Rheumatology pathways, and involvement in the 'Rapid Access' initiative. You will also be required to clinically supervise Rotational Physiotherapists, Technical Instructors, Physiotherapy Assistants and students, and deliver 'Clinical Reasoning Training' sessions to those you supervise, and your colleagues. The Trust actively encourages personal development and you will be expected to engage in a supported supervision structure, incorporating reflective practice, clinical reasoning and skills development, as well as independent CPD.
