Job summary
The Cellular Pathology Department at East Sussex Healthcare Trust is looking to recruit a highly motivated 'Pathology Assistant' (PA) to join our busy, yet friendly department. We have a fixed term full-time position available for 12 months.
Applications are invited from enthusiastic individuals who have an interest in Healthcare Sciences and are keen and committed to learning new skills that are associated with this post.
The post holder will provide support to the Scientific and Consultant staffs of the department by carrying out non-interpretative laboratory procedures.
Main duties of the job
Duties will include unpacking, sorting and booking in samples, preparing reagents, assisting consultant staff and biomedical scientists, performing simple analytical procedures and some more general tasks of this nature.
