Job summary

Eastbourne Day Surgery/ Sussex Surgical Centre are looking to recruit a Registered Nurse and/or Operating Department Practitioner to join our theatre teams as a Multi skilled Practitioner.

The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, dynamic and caring individual who is able to work within a challenging theatre environment delivering a high standard of safe care and effective practice.

Day Surgery covers a wide range of specialities including Urology, General Surgery, Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Trauma, Breast, ENT, Max Fax.

Day Surgery operates between the hours 07:00- 19:30 Monday - Friday these hours are under review as part of reconfiguration for the new Sussex Surgical Centre opening.

Main duties of the job

Candidates should demonstrate professionalism, maturity, reliability, flexibility and be highly motivated individuals seeking a challenge who will thrive in a busy environment.

You must be committed to cooperative team working at all times.

The theatre department is committed to offering a first rate service and supporting staff development.

We have a dedicated full time practice educator who will provide support and continued professional development with opportunities to enhance your experience.

Previous theatre experience is desirable.
