Working to provide a timely and efficient distribution service throughout the hospital and to all end users of the service.
Working in a fast pace environment with the emphasis on providing a goods inwards and outwards delivery service.
Working within a warehouse environment with the emphasis on providing a goods delivery service throughout the hospital. A physical role delivering all medical consumables, stationary and equipment throughout the hospital and ensuring that the Goods Inwards department is meeting Health & Safety requirements.
Main duties of the job
To assist in the efficient, effective and prompt receipt and distribution of goods and services provided by the Materials Management service.
Ensuring all deliveries are recorded and a signature upon delivery is retrieved for auditing purposes.
Provide cover for all roles within the Materials Management facility including Goods Inwards and Housekeeping.
Maintain the physical environment within Goods Inwards to provide a safe, clean and efficient way of working within a busy unit .
To be fully conversant with the Procurement Departments operational policies and procedures to ensure that the receipting and stores services comply with these requirement
