Job summary
The Clinical Support Worker is a member of the care team who will support Registered Practitioner in the delivery of routine patient care. The Clinical Support Worker will undertake a broad range of care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner.
The Clinical Support Worker will also work closely and under supervision of Associate Practitioners.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Support Worker (Band 3) is a member of the care team who provides:
Personal care or chaperone duties
Supporting patients with bathing, toileting, dressing and meals
Records patient information
A range of delegated clinical care duties
Undertakes and records patients' vital signs
Escalate any concerns in observation or change in patient's condition
Support and supervision of Band 2 clinical support workers
Enhanced observations
Patient escort role
