Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Respiratory Physiology department. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our busy and evolving lung function service as a Clinical Respiratory Physiologist. Our trust currently has two band 7 physiologists based at Eastbourne District General and Conquest Hospital respectively. We also have a team of ARTP trained HCA's that perform basic respiratory tests in the outpatient clinics, and we are currently recruiting a third senior physiologist to lead our diagnostics centre laboratory.
This role will largely be based at Bexhill Community Diagnostic Centre once sufficiently trained and will involve the performance of quality-assured basic and more complex lung function investigations to establish the respiratory status of patients with a range of pulmonary and extra-pulmonary conditions. There will also be opportunities to engage in research studies, exercise testing and sleep physiology. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with an interest in clinical and Respiratory physiology and we welcome candidates looking to develop a career in clinical physiology.
The role will involve regular cross-site working between our three laboratories (Eastbourne District General, Conquest Hospital, Bexhill Community Diagnostics Centre), although would initially be predominantly based at the hospital sites. This is an exciting time to be joining the service as we begin expanding our staff, laboratories and services.

It is expected that you will work towards gaining a professional qualification from the ARTP.
