An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the emergency nurse practitioner team. We will be offering a Band 7 "Annex U" training contract.

Main duties of the job
To operate autonomously, assess, diagnose, treat and discharge patients within scope of practice. (Emergency Nurse Practitioner)
Refer patients to specialist clinical teams when appropriate
To be responsible for the management and leadership of the Unit on a daily basis.
Carries out nursing procedures.
Provides clinical leadership and mentorship to other staff and students.
Manages staff, including appraisal, rotas, recruitment and selection.
Deputise for Clinical Matron in her absence.
Authorised signatory for time sheets.

- Developing Autonomous Practice in Emergency Care. (NH330)
- Managing learning through Mentorship level 3 (NA371) or the equivalent
- Diploma or equivalent level of experience and training appropriate to the Emergency Specialism.
- Awareness of current professional, research and practice issues
- Evidence of continued professional development to Masters level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
Desirable
- D32/33 assessment in NVQ. Additional area related courses
- Management Qualification/ Evidence of management experience.
Experience

- At least 18 months experience at Band 6 in a relevant or complementary environment
- Previous experience of managing a team
- Experience and evidence of involvement in a change initiative.

- Experience of audit.
