The role will be based on the ward, principally helping the junior doctors with their work. National audits indicate that Junior Doctors have an increasing workload with a lot of both clinical and administrative duties that could be undertaken by other clinical support staff.
the successful applicant will be supported to undertake the Doctors' Assistant apprenticeship
Main duties of the job
The role is designed to assist Doctors with the routine aspects of their work that can be delegated, such as carrying out some clinical procedures, completing paperwork, filing results, assessing patients using pro-formas, and communicating with patients, relatives and other staff.
