Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a B7 Occupational Therapist for Rehabilitation to support the delivery of our rehabilitation strategy for Intermediate Care Services at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust. This B7 role will support the development and leadership of the occupational therapy team based at Bexhill Irvine Unit and occasionally at Rye Memorial Hospital.
Main duties of the job
The ESHT Rehabilitation strategy is focused on improving the quality and performance of our acute and community services to deliver high quality rehabilitation across East Sussex. This is a dynamic and changing environment, and the strategy is working to support our staff, teams and the organisation as a whole to make meaningful changes that bring about improvements in rehabilitation for the benefit of our population. The role of the band 7 Occupational Therapist is key in delivering our strategy.

- BSc or MCs in Occupational Therapy
- Current registration with Health Professions Council
- Evidence of comprehensive CPD to Masters level or equivalent experience, knowledge and skills
- Postgraduate: higher level learning. MSc modules/PG certs/diplomas in clinically relevant specialist area
Desirable
- Membership of Specialist Section of COT
- Practice Placement Education Certificate

- Significant post registration experience - 3 years post registration experience within the clinical area of stroke / neurology / rehabilitation
