Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 2 Critical Care Technician to join our Critical Care team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, Eastbourne District General Hospital.

We are looking to recruit a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to work within our well-established team of Nurses and Healthcare Assistants to provide excellent support to our patients and their families, as well as contribute to the smooth running of our Critical Care Unit.

You will have excellent communication skills, be able to work well in a team and be able to work flexibly according to the day-to-day needs of the unit. Ideally you will have experience in a hospital care setting.

This post is full time working predominantly 11.5 hour shifts, internal rotation, both during the week and weekend.

Main duties of the job

The Critical Care Technician (CCA) will work under the supervision of the Senior Critical Care Technician and the Registered Nurse in the provision of care to patients. The CCT will provide technical support to the team and is responsible for the environmental upkeep of the unit. The CCA will contribute fully as a member of the critical care team and aid the smooth running of the ward/department.
