We are pleased to offer a Specialist Dietitian role in our team. We are looking to recruit a Dietitian with a special interest in Gastroenterology to join the Dietetics team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust.
The community nutrition support, oncology, gastroenterology & diabetes teams work collaboratively across our integrated acute & community pathways to provide seamless patient care across East Sussex. Our Dietitians have the opportunity to work in acute, intermediate care and community settings, benefitting from supporting patients through their journey as an integrated acute and community Trust.
Main duties of the job
To work as an integral member of the gastroenterology clinical team. To be responsible for the specialist nutrition and dietetic management of patients on the caseload using specialist knowledge and skills.
To support the prevention of unplanned hospital admissions, responding to patients who require urgent assessments and in collaboration with the patient and community integrated team, set up management plans to enable the patient to stay at home where possible.
To work as an integral member of multi-disciplinary teams and Nutrition & Dietetic service acting as an expert on the dietetic management of patients providing advice, support and training to staff, advising on change in dietetic treatment in line with evidence based practise.
To work alongside the Band 7 Team Leads and other clinical leads, as an expert on the dietetic management of conditions related to your current rotation. Providing advice, support and training to staff, advising on change in dietetic treatment in line with evidence based practise.
