An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Highly Specialist Pharmacist to lead the Pharmacy department's Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (ePMA) Team
We are looking for a highly skilled, committed, self-driven individual who has the ability to plan and co-ordinate their day to day activities taking the needs of the service into consideration. Collaborative working is essential and your contribution to the teams is invaluable. The role further involves supporting exciting project developments, championing other digital systems, supporting the development of our patient focused medicines optimisation team across East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust and the evolution of our department to move the service forward.
Our pharmacy service is provided across all Trust locations in Eastbourne, Hastings, Bexhill and Rye and the post holder will be expected to work flexibly and at any site.
Main duties of the job
You will advocate and influence the work of the ePMA Team through implementation to BAU, embedding the electronic drug chart across the Trust's Acute and Community sites. With the collaboration of the Pharmacy Digital and Finance Manager and the Pharmacy Data and Automation Team, you will use your diverse skills to drive the changes needed for this important digital change. Your communication will be outstanding and you will be able to convey digital principles to non-technical individuals and work closely with all stakeholders You will be able to understand the challenges faced by each service and problem-solve to ensure best outcomes
You will be responsible for all clinical aspects of the build and governance of the digital system, working with all grades of staff and building lasting relationships with clinicians. You will have responsibility for ensuring the quality and safety of the system, through configuration and review. You will be responsible for the delivery of comprehensive awareness and training of ePMA through varying media including written and video guides, face-to-face Induction and Teams sessions.

- MPharm Degree
- GPhC registration examination (Vocational Masters degree in Pharmacy (4yrs) and 1 years preregistration training and experience)
- Diploma / MSc in Clinical Pharmacy or pharmacy practice or other equivalent post-graduate qualification
