18month Fixed term contract - Secondment will be offered to internal applicants

The Digital Health Records Manager will be responsible for the management of the Digital Health Records Team and Clinic Preparation Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing a high quality, efficient and cost-effective Health Records Service as we move towards an Electronic Patient Record. The role requires excellent communication, reliable and consistent service, robust team working, and provision of cover as required.

It is essential that our services provide Clinicians and other Healthcare Professionals with access to high quality patient documentation in a timely manner. It is of paramount importance to ensure that scanned patient information can be easily retrieved from the Trust EPR system at the point of care.

The Digital Health Records Manager will be expected to have NHS experience and knowledge and understanding of NHS health records process and policy. Additionally, applicants should have the ability to work across 3 sites

The Digital Health Records Manager is a key member of the team which is responsible for the effective operational and business management and strategic direction of the service.

Main duties of the job

  • Responsible for ensuring a high-quality records management service to all patients seen in the Trust.
  • Ensure all key performance indicators in remit are met in line with the Trust's Record Management Policies.
  • Directly line manage the 2 Digital Health Records Team Leaders & 2 Health Records Managers
  • To lead and promote an effective Records Management service for the Trust

Essential

  • Educated to Degree Level or equivalent level of knowledge and experience
  • Evidence of continual professional development to masters level or equivalent

Desirable

  • IHRIMS membership
  • Recognised Leadership and/or Management qualification or equivalent
