Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for the post of Administrative Assistant in our busy Estates & Facilities Division at Eastbourne Hospital. The successful candidate will provide a comprehensive secretarial administrative support to the Estates & Facilities management team and also support the office with signing in/out contractors, issuing keys, processing taxi requests and dealing with telephone enquiries.

The post holder will be required to support the Business Services Officer with the processing of information on the HealthRoster Time & Attendance system across the division through on-going administration, cover in periods of absence of the creation of new staff/leavers, amendments to contracts and working patterns and the payroll lockdown and reports.

Main duties of the job

Applicants need to be motivated, hard working and have excellent administration and communication skills. The successful candidate needs to be a team player, conscientious and have a flexible approach. Some cross-site working may be required to provide cover/support.

Business Administration Qualifications are required but recent experience of secretarial administrative work in a busy office environment within the last three years, excellent keyboard skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office are essential. NHS administrative experience would be an advantage.

There are two posts available:

37.5 - Monday to Friday 0830-1630

22.5 - Monday to Wednesday 0800-1600

However some flexibility is required as there may be occasions where working hours may change and or occasion to travel to another site.
