Clinical Orderly - Murray Ward Early pregnancy/Escalation

Job summary

Murray Gynae ward is a 7 bedded busy 24- hour Early Pregnancy Uni and Gynae Emergency. We have direct referrals from ED, GP's, Out of hours, and self-referrals. We also do telephone triage and telephone advice.

As part of that Nursing team your duties would include general cleaning of the patient bed areas, equipment, general tidying of the ward and assisting the nursing staff with essential patient specific general ad Hoc errands. All staff within the hospital have a key role to play in infection control and prevention & you could be a part of a team that makes a vital contribution to the patient's experience during their time in hospital.

Main duties of the job

If you have good communication skills, interested in working in a clinical area, open to learning new skills and/or have experience of working in a similar environment this could be the opportunity for you.

Main duty involves help maintain a clean, neat and tidy appearance following departmental policy. Bed safety rails checks Report mechanical defects on machines to department lead Ensure observation of infection control procedure Ensure observation of hygiene legislation and internal policies.

They must be able to work as a team and are committed to professional skills development.
