Resuscitation PractitionerDepartment: Accident and Emergency -
Band 6 - Full time Hours - 37.5 per week - Internal Rotation Salary: - £35,392 - £42,618 pro rataWe are dynamic Emergency Department, treating on average 50,000 patients a year. We are looking for a Band 6 Resuscitation Practitioner to join our pro-active and innovative team.
You will provide clinical Leadership within the resuscitation room, promoting best practice for patients attending the ED experiencing time critical conditions as well as providing an essential link in the department to support clinical care, innovation, research and education.
This is a new role and a new team which will join the team at an exciting time of change and development.
Minimum Requirements:
- Registered Nurse /ODP/Paramedic with post registration acute care course or extensive experience with extensive resuscitation experience
- At least 5 years experience post registration, with at least 2 of those in acute or emergency medicine.
- Clinical teaching experience and qualifications within relevant field, e.g. Mentorship or equivalent, experience of supervising junior Clinician
Main duties of the job
To provide clinical leadership in the resuscitation room of the Emergency Department and become the department expert in resuscitation and critical care.
To promote best practice for patients attending the Emergency Department (ED) experiencing time critical conditions and traumatic injuries.
To liaise with all members of the multidisciplinary team to coordinate safe effective and timely care practices within the ED.
Provide clinical and professional leadership and supervision to nursing, supporting staff and students within the ED.
As an active member of the team ensure the gathering of essential information and the delivery of time critical care.
To promote an enabling, empowering and equitable culture, thereby ensuring services provided are of a high quality and are managed effectively and efficiently.
