AAU is an extremely busy 19 bedded ward that accepts patients for medical assessment from G.Ps Practicesand specialist teams needing medical intervention or admission when necessary, giving you a varied workload.
We are looking for Health care Assistants to join our Team.
Hospital experience is desirable but not essential. A minimum of NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalentSuccessful applicants will be required to complete an Induction, which will include all the Trust statutory/Mandatory training. To join our team you will need to be well motivated and committed to high standards of patient care and personal professional development.
Main duties of the job
We provide a supportive atmosphere, mentorship and clinical supervision on the ward and are committed to professional development of all staff. Team working is an integral part of both Units with all staff enabled and empowered to make a real difference for their patients.
The Health Care Assistant (Band 2) is a member of the care team who will support Registered Practitioner in the delivery of routine patient care. The Health Care Assistant will undertake a broad range of care activities under the direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner. The Health care Assistant (Band 2) will also work closely and under supervision of the Health Care Assistant (Band 3) and where relevant Associate Practitioners
