Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, dynamic, skilled professional to become a valved member of our busy Maxillofacial and Orthodontic team.
For the right candidate we will be able to offer development potential and enhanced skills within our speciality. You will have the opportunity to be autonomous in the nurse-led wound care clinics, work within a multi-disciplinary team and support nursing students and junior staff.
We provide care to our patients that includes consultation clinics, Minor ops, Head and Neck cancer clinic and Dressing clinics.

Main duties of the job
To provide wound care using evidence based practice.
To supervise/assess nursing students.
To support clinicians and CNS breaking bad news.
To chaperone when required to.
To manage the clinical environment to ensure patient safety and maximise effectiveness of clinic times.
To work chairside to assist the clinician for minor ops.
To complete paperwork for surgical safety checks.
To provide leadership in the absence of the matron.
To liaise with Doctors, reception staff, dental nurses, CNS, secretaries and learners on a daily basis for the smooth running of clinics.
