Job summary
The Vascular Access Team is a very dynamic team overseeing the care, management, maintenance, and insertion of all types of (venous) vascular access devices (including training), as well as supporting clinical areas in difficult cannulation, venepuncture and blood culture sampling (including training). The job will require the knowledge and skills in placing lines, and training clinical personnel will also be part of the role.
This role will include cross site working.
Please note that the interviews will take place on Thursday 8th June at the Education Centre, Conquest Hospital, St Leonards on sea.
Main duties of the job
We are looking for someone who is very good in cannulation and venepuncture as a basic skillset. Long line insertion skillset would be desirable, but not essential as training will be offered. Training qualification ENB 998 or equivalent is essential to the post, as it will require the successful candidate to teach colleagues at a later stage of their employment.
