Corporate Governance Administrator

Job summary

We are seeking a Corporate Governance Administrator to cover a period of maternity leave.

Reporting to the Corporate Affairs Manager, the Corporate Governance Administrator will be expected to undertake a wide range of administrative duties in relation to the work undertaken within the Corporate Affairs Team, inclusive of acting as a first point of contact, preparation of meeting papers, and the taking of minutes, in addition to extensive liaison and interaction with our Council of Governors. This is a key supportive role within the Corporate Affairs Team, and also provides a unique opportunity to understand the workings of governance structures within Cheshire and Wirral Partnership.

In order to undertake this post, education to GCSE level (including English to grade C or above) or equivalent is required, in addition to excellent organisation and communication skills and an ability to work to strict timescales. Previous secretarial/administrative experience is essential, as well as knowledge of servicing committees and taking minutes accordingly. Whilst qualifications to RSA Level 3 or equivalent and/or Business Administration NVQ Level 3 or equivalent would be advantageous, they are not a requirement for this role.

This is a part time post of 30 hours per week, with 5 hours ideally worked per day.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be expected to undertake a wide range of administrative support duties in relation to the work of the Trust's Associate Director of Corporate Affairs. This will include liaising primarily with the Trust's Board Support Team, Board of Directors, Non-Executive Directors and Council of Governors, and processing potentially sensitive information.
