An exciting opportunity is now available to join the vibrant inpatient unit at Bowmere Hospital as three newly appointed Advanced Clinical Leads.

We are recruiting three people to take on these roles within our unit. Bowmere comprises of All-age Acute, Rehabilitation, PICU and Organic services. These posts offer the chance to make a significant impact across a dynamic and forward-thinking hospital environment.

We're looking for enthusiastic leaders who are driven to deliver outstanding patient care. You'll bring confident leadership, a passion for innovation and quality improvement, and a commitment to empowering and developing our staff as we continue to evolve and enhance our services.

Shortlisting for this vacancy is due to commence on 19th January and the proposed interview date is 23rd January.

Main duties of the job

To provide clinical leadership across the unit teams and management support.

Quality improvement - demonstrate highly effective communication skills and problem-solving abilities, implement continuous quality improvement initiatives in line with current best practice for inpatient care, identifying learning themes and responding to this, attendance at Trust wide meetings and local Steering Groups, monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of clinical standards.

Clinical expertise - working autonomously within a multi-disciplinary framework to act as a source of expertise and point of contact within the unit, supporting with complex cases by providing specialist assessment and planning of care, liaising with and collaborating with internal and external professionals, and ensuring high standards of patient care within Trust guidelines and policies.

Staff development - delivery of training and promoting further training/education opportunities, facilitating clinical supervision, providing a coaching and mentoring role to enhance the skills and knowledge of the staffing teams, motivating and inspiring the team to deliver high standards of patient care and creating a productive work environment.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A relevant Social Work, Nursing or Allied Health Professional (e.g. Occupational Therapy) degree level qualification or equivalent experience
  • Current registration with a nationally recognised professional body relevant to the professional qualification held e.g. GSCC for Social workers, HPC for Occupational Therapists etc
  • Minimum 5 years post registration experience
