Job summary

We have an opportunity to recruit a Team Administrator to support our Mental Health Intensive Support team (MhIST). This role will be based in Bowmere hospital in Chester.

We are looking for a motivated and resourceful individual to join our team to provide a quality, comprehensive administrative, secretarial and organisational support to the team. You will be supported by a Business Manager.

You should possess commitment to team working, a positive attitude and innovative delivery of excellent standards of work. This role is great for someone who loves to problem solve, who has good interpersonal skills for communicating with our service users, carers and staff members. Providing customer service with a smile goes a long way!

The administrative team are a supportive, competent and caring team. We aim to provide high quality administrative support services to our colleagues across the locality to improve the safety, health and well-being of the people within our area.

We will ensure that you have access to internal opportunities for development with access to supervision and appraisal.

The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicant will be expected to provide a comprehensive administration service including diary management, undertake typing of correspondence. and be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise using the Microsoft packages. Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be communicating with service users, carers and health & social care professionals. You will be required to answer phone calls, attend meetings, maintain and action generic email boxes and make contact with our service users, parents/carers and external organisations.

The applicant will also be expected to be able to organise and prioritise their own workload on a daily basis to ensure that time deadlines are met and that urgent work is accommodated.

This is a varied role and can be demanding at times whilst supporting the clinical team. The applicant will also be expected to provide cross cover for colleagues as and when required.
