Clinical Education Manager - Physical Health

Job summary

We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and motivated individual to join our well-established Clinical Education Team as Clinical Education Manager - Physical Health. This is a full-time, permanent position based Sycamore House, Ellesmere Port. Secondments will also be considered.

This pivotal leadership role is key in shaping the strategic direction of physical health education across the Trust. We are looking for a clinically credible professional with a passion for education and proven leadership ability to lead the design, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality training programmes that enhance workforce development and excellence in patient care.

You will have a strong understanding of all aspects of education and training and work collaboratively with operational and clinical leaders to improve staff development, patient outcomes, and compliance with national standards.

Our small, innovative Clinical Education Team includes facilitators from diverse professional backgrounds, supporting staff in both community and inpatient services Trust-wide. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and empowering learning environment.

Main duties of the job

You will report to the Clinical Education Lead on national NHS education initiatives driven by Health Education England, leading related projects and programmes.

You will support compliance with all staff clinical education requirements in line with CWP delivery targets.

You will provide effective leadership to the physical health education function, acting as a senior member of the wider Clinical Education Team. You will lead the delivery of a trust-wide clinical education programme for Physical Health, including staff education and strategic document development.

Your role will involve developing, implementing, delivering, and evaluating a broad range of education initiatives aligned with Trust priorities, national guidance, and best practice in physical healthcare.

Working collaboratively with operational and clinical leaders, you will identify workforce training needs and develop innovative, evidence-based solutions.

You will oversee the design, facilitation, and quality assurance of inclusive, outcome-focused training programmes supporting staff development across all roles and levels.

Additionally, you will manage resources effectively, including line management, service planning, and reporting against key performance indicators.

Finally, you will contribute to the strategic development of the Clinical Education service, acting as a role model for clinical excellence and championing a culture of continuous learning, staff development, and high-quality patient care.
