Job summary
An exciting opportunity to join a team of 5 Occupational Therapist specialising in vocational rehabilitation for a community-based service working with adults with an acquired brain injury. The focus is to assist people with achieving a return to work or other meaningful activity. The post is based at the Acorn Suite, Countess of Chester Health Park, and provides a service to the Wirral Area.
The Acquired Brain Injury Service has continued to develop since its origins, the team members have increased in numbers and the service deliver has expanded in many ways. The post holder will be working alongside brain injury case managers, psychology assistants, Consultant neuropsychologists, lived experience connectors and service user volunteers.

Main duties of the job
The core role is to assist people who have had an acquired brain injury or a stroke, with achieving a return to work. In addition, the role may involve exploring steps to achieving this such as fatigue management, voluntary work and other activities of productivity. This will involve work rehabilitation, work task simulation, worksite visits, job analysis, liaison with employer's Occupational Health, HR and Line Managers, as well as working with other relevant organisations. The post holder will manage their own caseload with support and guidance from senior OT. Please refer to attached job description for details
