CYP Clinical Support Worker

Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and dynamic clinical support worker within the Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism Team. You will join an established multi disciplinary ADHD Team of Specialist Nurses, Consultant Psychiatrists and Assistant Practitioners.

This post is a Band 3 full time permanent position for 22.5 hours per week. You will work alongside the ADHD Specialist Nurses to review and monitor children and young people who have been prescribed ADHD medication.

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong communication and organisational skills, who is also able to work autonomously and effectively prioritise their workload.

The Trust currently supports the RealLivingWage(RLW) hourly rate as set by theLivingWageFederation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.

Main duties of the job

This is an opportunity for an innovative, dynamic and enthusiastic clinical support worker who is looking to expand their knowledge and experience working with children and young people through the ongoing management of ADHD.

You will be working with children and young people who have been prescribed ADHD medication to monitor their physical observations, of height, weight, blood pressure and pulse rate, across East Cheshire. The role will also consist of reviewing the effectiveness of the ADHD medication prescribed through supporting and administering a Qb assessment with the children and young people as part of their annual ADHD medication review.

Full training and opportunities for development will be offered, in addition to supervision and appraisal.
