Job summary

A new and exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist with an interest in Community Rehabilitation within the Respiratory specialty.

As this is a new role, there will be an opportunity to bring your passion and experience in rehabilitation to help shape our evolving service. You will play an integral part in the assessment and treatment of people living with a range of respiratory conditions including post Covid symptoms. We want to expand our rehab offer and as an OT you will bring your full scope of practice to the role which will encompass both physical and mental health components.

This role will suit either a Band 5 looking for career progression or an experienced Band 6. Full training and regular coaching and mentoring is available to ensure you succeed and thrive in this role.

This vacancy is Fixed term: 10 months

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with your peers, senior clinical staff, and Service Lead.

To be a core member of the team, co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating the care provided to patients on a daily basis.

To provide specialist assessment and treatment of patients with unplanned presentations within community settings, including the patient's own home.

To supervise, assess and educate team members including bank or agency staff, support workers and students
