**We offer a relocation package of up to £8,000**
The relocation package is for anyone joining the Trust in a Clinical role who would need to relocate in order to take up employment with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership.
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Practitioner psychologist (Clinical or Counselling psychologist), HCPC registered (or on their way to registration ) to join our small psychology team and a very friendly MDT in Macclesfield, in East Cheshire. Our psychology provision is unfortunately limited at present, but we are very keen to expand and develop in order to meet the Community Transformation agenda ambitions and to make psychological interventions widely available to a greater majority of the service users under the care of the CMHT.
We welcome applications from candidates who wish to apply for Band 8A position but we also welcome applications from newly qualified practitioner psychologists who wish to pursue a robust developmental pathway to a Band 8a position (usually achieved 2 years post qualification )
For the qualified Band 8a candidate, supervision training is essential.
We are very keen to attract the right candidates and will consider both part-time (and appropriate job shares) dependent on how these fits with the applicant's needs and that of the service. We will be happy to offer flexible/hybrid working too.
Main duties of the job
To provide a highly specialist psychology service to clients with complex psychological and mental health presentations. To provide specialist psychological assessment and interventions as well as providing consultation and advice on clients' psychological care to non-psychologist colleagues and to other, non-professional carers.
To supervise trainees, assistant psychologists and other qualified psychological practitioners as agreed. To work autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the service's policies and procedures. To regularly engage with clinical supervision and CPD activities, according to professional registration requirements
