Job summary
We wish to recruit an experienced Research manager who can lead our strategy for Research and development by achieving the following ambitions:
- Developing high quality research that informs thebest ways to promote the health and well-being of thepopulation we serve
- Ensuring service users, the public, and health care professionals are centrally involved in the design anddelivery of research
- Promoting research which aligns to our strategic objectives
- Strengthening collaborative links with our academic partners to deliver innovative research
We are looking for someone with excellent research, development, and managerial skills who wants to develop their career further in our values-led organisation and has the foresight and ambition to make a difference to the lives of the people we serve. We would consider applicants who are willing to work towards a PhD.
Main duties of the job
- The Research manager will be responsible for driving forward the Research Strategy to achieve whole system change in line with the strategic goals of the organisation. This will involve Working with CANDDID and REAL to drive forward the research agenda and make the organisation both more research aware and research active. This will not only involve staff across the organisation, stakeholder including patients, carers and public, HEIs and other NHS Trusts.
- The research programmes will include projects likely to be highly complex in nature and will have involvement across a range of organisations / services / stakeholders at a locality wide, organisational and / or regional level or National level.
The research manager will be an expert on research and research management, working with a team of senior managers across organisations to develop and implement joint strategy and improvement plans across health and social care which deliver quality research and evaluations contributing to improvement in care.
