Job summary

Are you an experienced Tuberculosis (TB) Specialist Nurse with a passion for TB which can be used to deliver a health economy approach to the residents of Cheshire?

We have an opportunity for a qualified and proactive TB Nurse to join the Infection Prevention and Control Team team on a permanent basis. The post is a full time Band 7 role and will be based in the Team's Macclesfield office. The role involves cross service blended working over the entirety of the CWP footprint.

We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a passion for Patient Safety, Clinical Excellence and Quality Improvement to join our friendly team, with a minimum of three years' post registration experience, ideally in a range of clinical settings.

**We offer a relocation package of up to £8,000**

The relocation package is for anyone who would need to relocate in order to take up employment with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership.

To be eligible for the relocation payment, you must live more than 40 miles from the base/location of the post you are applying for and you would need to relocate to within 15 miles of the new base.

Main duties of the job

You will responsible for delivering on all aspects of TB Nursing across all services the team is commissioned for. You will provide expert advice, support and training to external providers.

The successful candidate will be an expert autonomous practitioner, using highly developed and specialist knowledge to manage and provide ongoing advanced clinical care, including acute and chronic assessment of patients with tuberculosis across outpatient, community and inpatient settings.

The successful candidate will manage a caseload of patients within a nurse led clinic, screening for supporting the diagnosis of TB. Offering a high standard of continuing care and facilitate early and safe discharge, whilst preventing unnecessary admission to hospital.

We are looking for an individual who is experienced, has good communication skills, and is a team player but also able to work without direct supervision under their own initiative. The ideal candidate will need to be able to influence others, prioritise work, have the ability to challenge and influence clinical practice and have a flexible approach.

You will need to act as a role model without supervision, but under the line management of the Lead Nurse. Infection Prevention core working hours are Monday - Friday, 09:00 to 17:00 (excluding bank holidays). The post will be based in the Macclesfield office, and there will be an expectation that you will work across the Cheshire footprint and travel to surrounding areas as required.
