Job summary
Therapies and Integrated Community Care Services are looking for an exceptional physiotherapist to join our highly respected team of Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners. You will be based in Ellesmere Port Hospital, but will be expected to deliver clinical expertise across our bases as the service evolves.
You will be able to demonstrate an ability to work generically at an advanced level, but this does not necessarily exclude a specialist area of interest. Familiarity with appropriate use of diagnostics and their use in reaching a differential diagnosis is essential, as is the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of individuals from patients and their families, to your therapy peers, and to medical colleagues
The role will contribute to a high quality efficient and effective triage service for GP referrals as part of a comprehensive MSK service.
**We offer a relocation package of up to £8,000**
The relocation package is for anyone who would need to relocate in order to take up employment with Cheshire and Wirral Partnership.
To be eligible for the relocation payment, you must live more than 40 miles from the base/location of the post you are applying for and you would need to relocate to within 15 miles of the new base.
If this applies to you, please state this on your application so we can discuss this with you if you are invited to interview.
Main duties of the job
To work as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner undertaking triage of clinical referrals and assessment of complex and /or undiagnosed patient presentations to ensure all patients referred to the service receive safe, timely, and effective care.
To manage a highly complex or undifferentiated caseload by arranging and acting on appropriate diagnostics to reach diagnosis and determine the correct pathway of care within either primary or secondary care
To provide clinical leadership in the ongoing development of physiotherapy and MSK practice, research/clinical audit, and standards of care within the service, including development of policies and clinical guidelines.
An area of clinical specialty is welcomed but the postholder will be expected to be able to assess a generic caseload effectively as the service requires.
You will be a clinical role model to our physiotherapy teams, and will be instrumental in supporting ongoing staff learning and service development. This role is key to continuing to integrate our primary and secondary care based MSK and orthopaedic therapy services to drive excellence in patient care.
