Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Education Fellow to join our Medical Education Team for a 1-year, fixed-term contract at 0.5 WTE. This role is ideal for clinicians with a passion for education who wish to develop their teaching, leadership, and training skills within a supportive environment.
The post-holder will contribute to the planning, delivery, and evaluation of high-quality educational programmes for medical trainees, including resident doctors, GP trainees, and medical students, with a particular focus on simulation-based learning and clinical skills teaching.
Main duties of the job
The Education Fellow will support the delivery of high-quality teaching and supervision for both Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes, including bedside teaching, simulation, and skills sessions. They will assist with curriculum development, quality assurance, and trainee inductions, contributing to feedback, assessment, and educational improvement initiatives. The role involves leadership and administrative support, including acting as a point of contact for trainees, maintaining records, and participating in committees and planning activities. The post holder will also engage in professional development and support colleagues in fostering reflective practice and learning.

- Full Registration with GMC and fitness to practice
- Currently in a recognised training post (FY2, CT1-CT2) or equivalent experience as a Locally Employed Doctor
- Successful outcomes for ARCP/Appraisals
