The Quest Service phlebotomist is an exciting and rewarding challenge and you will be supported by an expert team where training and development opportunities are actively encouraged in order to meet the clinical needs of the role. Support and development will be inidividualised depending on your current skills and experience.

Due to the nature of the work it is essential you have the means to travel to a number of destinations within work hours.

We have a post for a part time Quest community phlebotomist in Calderdale, the working hours will be 8am - 12:30pm Monday - Friday.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Duties

? Maintain patient dignity and confidentiality at all times.

? Adhere to Trust Aseptic Non Touch Technique Policy (ANTT).

? Work unsupervised undertaking domiciliary visits. A full driving license and access to a

vehicle is essential along with business insurance.

? Undertake surveys/audits when requested to do so.

? Attend to staff and patients queries, referring appropriately.

? Comply with all Health and Safety Regulations

? Use of a visual display unit to book appointments and access the Trust intranet and

work related e-mails.

? It will be necessary to cover other staff when required.

? Any duties as defined by the manager/Team leader in charge.

Professional Duties

? The candidate must comply with all aspects of mandatory training and have an

awareness of all policies and procedure relating to the Trust and division.

Managerial Duties

? There are no managerial duties required in this post.

Financial Duties

? Ensure stock is rotated to minimise waste

Managing Self

? Participate in regular supervision.

? Attend all mandatory training.

? Participate in Trust annual appraisal identifying, developing and agreeing your own

development plan with your Line Manager.

? Comply with all Trust policies, procedures and protocols.

? Carry out duties with due regard to the Trust's Equal Opportunity Policy.

? Seek advice and support from Line Manager whenever necessary.
