Job summary

***Please note this post is located at HRI, mainly working Tuesdays and Thursdays, with occasional flexibility to work other days, if the service requires***

The post holder will provide efficient and effective clerical and reception service for the Sexual Health & HIV Service under the guidance/supervision of the administrator and the Clerical team.

Main duties of the job

o Reception duties of meet and greet patients and register patients electronically, answering telephone queries and booking appointments.o Coding Negative results and inputting onto electronic system.o Ensure all results including pathology/ ultrasound are inputted and filed.o Managing referrals into the system.o Preparing and retrieving case notes.o Booking interpreters if needed Face to face.o Post distributiono Ordering stationary and non-catalogue orders via IPROCo Handle Confidential material maintaining confidentiality in conjunction with Data protection.o Other duties appropriate to grade delegated by senior staff

  • English and Math GCSE grade 9-2 (A*-E) or equivalent or high level of literacy and numeracy skills demonstrated within application
  • Willing to undertake further development/training

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

  • Experience of working in a Health Care setting
  • Knowledge of software packages such as Word, Excel
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Confident IT skills
