Job summary

To support the Assistant Director of Human Resources in the provision of a high-quality Medical HR service across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

As a member of the Corporate WOD team, the role supports the Medical Director's Office in the development and delivery of the Trust's Medical Workforce Strategy and policies to ensure that Medical HR services are fully integrated to the needs of the Trust.

To lead on corporate pieces of project work as directed by the Assistant Director of Workforce and OD. Projects will include implementation of medical staff contracts, e-job planning, recruitment and selection strategy including international recruitment and non-contract spend.

The postholder leads the Medical Director Office/Medical HR support team.

QUALIFICATIONS / TRAINING

Essential

  • Highly specialist knowledge of Medical HR/HR to Masters level equivalent acquired through degree and professional HR qualifications plus additional training or equivalent experience
  • Membership of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD)
  • Evidence of continuing self-development

Desirable

  • Additional relevant management degree

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE

Essential

  • Highly specialist knowledge of Medical HR/HR to Masters level equivalent acquired through degree and professional HR qualifications plus additional training or equivalent experience in providing specialist advice in a Medical HR/HR environment dealing with complex people issues (for example, case management, organisational change, job evaluation, recruitment and selection)
  • Facilitation and delivery of training courses, particularly relating to medical workforce
