Arrhythmia and Cardiac Device Specialist Nurse

Job summary

The post holder will work within a multi-professional team and assist in the development of services, including the Rapid Access Arrhythmia clinic, arrhythmia clinics, complex device pre-assessmentclinics, telephone clinics and will provide expert nursing support for patients requiring electrophysiology procedures.You will work closely with Consultants, Specialist Registrars, cardiac physiologists, nurses, and a team of multi-disciplinary staff within the cardiology/medical directorate to provide clinical support, education and clinical leadership to the development of existing and new patient pathways. You will provide highly specialist care for patients with arrhythmias and complex devices. The post holder will assess, plan and implement care, provide specialist advice and education to support patients, carers and colleagues.

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with a special interest in Cardiac Arrhythmia and complex cardiac devices to join our award winning service. The successful applicant will have experience of working with patients with cardiac arrhythmia and have a good understanding of their needs, they must also be able to interpret ECG's competently. They will be expected to provide outpatient clinics for Arrhythmia patients. Pre assessment and on going support for patients with complex cardiac devices as both inpatient and outpatient.
