Band 2 Healthcare Assistant - Pain Service Outpatient ClinicLocation: Calderdale Royal Hospital
Hours: Part-time, Monday-Friday (08:30-17:00 or 08:30-13:00)
Join our friendly and dynamic Pain Clinic team at Calderdale Royal Hospital! We're looking for an enthusiastic and well-organised Healthcare Assistant to support patients throughout their pain management journey.
Main duties of the job
What you'll do:
o Perform baseline observations and provide compassionate chaperone supporto Assist with X-ray and ultrasound-guided procedureso Help clinics run smoothly and manage reception duties when needed

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Confidence in following clinical instructions
- Familiarity with Cerner EPR and basic IT skills

- Competence based level 2 Qualification e.g. NVQ or Diploma in Care or The Care Certificate issued by an employer
- Willingness to undertake any training or development relevant to the role
Desirable
- Competent / able to evidence the completion of Health Care Assistant core competencies
- Competence based level 3 Qualification e.g. NVQ or Diploma in Healthcare Support
- Competent in cannulation /venepuncture/plaster training and specialist dressings
- Moving and Handling
- Infection Control
