Job summary
The post of Clinical Site Matron is to provide leadership, operational management and clinical supervision to designated clinical and non-clinical staff within the Trust. The priority will be maintaining patient flow, quality and safety across elective and non-elective pathways.
You will be expected to work operationally over the 24 hour period and be able to work strategically to enhance the service and deliver key quality and performance measures.
The post holder will ensure the sustained delivery of high quality clinical site management and will be responsible for chairing the OPEL site meetings on a daily basis, escalating to strategic colleagues as required.
The post holder will be required to act as Tactical Commander, following trust and national policies, in the event of major/ critical incidents.
The post holder will work with senior members of clinical divisions and take responsibility for monitoring and ensuring that agreed activity targets and quality standards are understood and reflect the achievement of national and local targets.
The post holder will work alongside divisional colleagues to respond to and resolve complaints, ensuring that clear learning objectives are shared and implemented to improve patient safety and experience.
Main duties of the job
To work corporately to ensure the most appropriate clinical management ofpatients across the hospital.
Monitor and manage the hospital site for patient flow. Making sure that quality care, and patient safety and experience are at the forefront of all decision making.
To facilitate and lead in a positive, flexible and strategic manner.
