We are excited to offer the opportunity for innovative, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Dietitians to join a newly funded specialist weight management service, expanding upon our existing bariatric surgical service.
This is your chance to be part of a forward-thinking, multidisciplinary team delivering holistic, person-centred care to reduce health inequalities for adults living with complex obesity across Calderdale and Kirklees.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidates will:
- Deliver evidence-based, timely care for patients requiring specialist interventions including bariatric surgery, weight-loss medications, and non-surgical weight management programmes.
- Work closely with a well-established MDT including Bariatric Surgeons, Endocrinologists, Specialist Nurses, Psychologists, and Dietitians.
- Conduct independent and MDT clinics, facilitate patient education and support groups, and provide pre-operative and post-operative care.
- Contribute to service development, audit, and pathway innovation
We are looking for Dietitians who:
- Hold a degree/diploma in Nutrition and Dietetics and are HCPC registered.
- Have experience working with patients living with obesity, including dietary and lifestyle interventions, GLP-1 RA medications, and bariatric surgery.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of weight bias and stigma in healthcare and society.
- Are excellent communicators, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

- Recent advanced post graduate experience to assess and treat within the area of adult surgery and /or obesity in the NHS
- Sound knowledge of current issues relating to dietetics and obesity

- Sound knowledge of clinical dietetics including anthropometric measurement, biochemical interpretation and devising complex nutritional care plans
- Proven ability to work within a team

- Experience of working in bariatric surgery
- Previous experience working at a Band 6 level
