Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Foundation Trust have an exciting opportunity for enthusiastic and motivated individuals to join our friendly children's team. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about caring for babies, children and young people aged 0-16 years, with an interest in surgical nursing.
Successful candidates will be joining our nursing team to work on our surgical inpatient ward at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.The ward consists of 8 inpatient beds, and is a nurse led unit, caring for acute surgical and orthopaedic patients, and medical day case patients.
Successful candidates will be willing to complete clinical skills training to support the service needs, including venepuncture & cannulation.
During times of staffing or patient acuity pressures, the post holder would be expected to support on the inpatient ward at Calderdale Royal Hospital, a 28 bedded inpatient ward with 10 bedded Paediatric Same Day Emergency Care Unit, or in the Paediatric Emergency Department at Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.
Main duties of the job
To be responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of evidence-based individualised plan of care.
The post holder will also assist in the management and organisation of nursing work in the ward/department.

- NMC Registered Nurse in relevant field of practice (or within 6 months of completing a validated BSc or MSc course, resulting in NMC registration)
