Children's Cardiology Specialist Nurse

Job summary

The Job holder is responsible for a managed caseload working closely with thePaediatrician with expertise in cardiology (PEC). The jobholder carries responsibility for the assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care. The jobholder will provide specialist nursing care and advice to this specific patient group and will contribute to the development of the specialty service.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be from the background of paediatrics and will support the PEC and Congenital Heart Disease Network in the Outpatients clinics and Wards providing direct patient care & advice for those children with congenital heart disease and their families. They will support the education of the MDT team specifically about congenital heart disease. They will contribute to data collection and audit.
