Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and innovative pharmacist to work within our existing team of pharmacists and technicians. The post holder will be expected to demonstrate a high standard of patient focused pharmaceutical care, and will rotate around different specialities in the Trust.
Working within the Aseptic Unit the post holder will be performing the professional release of products, including CIVAS, PN chemotherapy and immunotherapy, as well as assisting in the management of the Quality Assurance system.
You will have excellent communication, IT and team working skills and self-motivation to contribute to the development and delivery of the pharmacy service within the Trust. This role will involve development of rotational band 6 early careers pharmacists, trainee pharmacists and pharmacy undergraduate students.
Your application will be considered if you have completed your postgraduate certificate in clinical pharmacy successfully and are proceeding to diploma level.
Main duties of the job
Assists in delivering, developing and evaluating the Aseptic Service, ensuring compliance with national standards and statutes and trust policies. Acts an an Authorised Pharmacist for the release of products prepared in the aseptic unit.
Provides specialist pharmaceutical care to clinical specialties on a rotational basis ensuring effective medicines management and compliance with current standards, statute and trust policies
The post holder will be expected to take part in weekend, bank holiday and emergency duty rota.

Supports the Aseptic Services Manager in setting the strategic direction for the unit.
Acts as an Authorised Pharmacist for the professional check and release of products prepared in the unit.
Assists in the maintenance, development and evaluation of the Aseptic Quality Assurance System.
Support the Lead for Clinical Pharmacy Services in setting the strategic direction for the department
Contribute to the development of the annual business plan and strategic planning for the Pharmacy Directorate
Implement Trust policies in relation to the Clinical Pharmacy Service

Essential
- MPharm or equivalent Degree in Pharmacy approved by General Pharmaceutical Council.
- Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council
- 1 year pre-registration training
- Willingness to undertake any training or development relevant to the role
Desirable
- Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy (or equivalent qualification)
- Pharmacist prescriber
