Calderdale and Huddersfield Foundation Trust are looking to recruit enthusiastic newly registered midwives to provide high quality, holistic midwifery care, sensitive to the needs of the woman and her family.
This exciting opportunity requires the post holder to complete the agreed LMNS preceptorship package with the support of a robust preceptorship programme as part of their professional development and transition to Band 6.

Main duties of the job
The role requires the successful candidate to provide a high level of evidence based, compassionate care to women and families throughout the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal period.
You will be required to work flexibly across the service to meet the needs of women and their families, working in close partnership with both the woman and the Multidisciplinary Team.

Provide safe, high quality evidence based care throughout the maternitypathway. Ensure information is communicated in a clear and unbiased way to facilitate informed decision making. In partnership with the woman, assesses needs, planning, implementing and evaluating care on an individual basis, promoting equality and considering diversity and rights' Maintain contemporaneous documentation in accordance with NMC Code. Liaise and work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team and other agencies, when complex needs are identified. Continuously assess risks and deviations from normal and ensure timelyreferral, intervention and escalation. Consider the diverse needs of women and their families and ensure thedelivery of individualised plans of care. Participates in provision of public health information Provide health/parent education either individually or in groups to maximise the benefit to families. Facilitate womens involvement in the decision making process regarding all aspects of their pregnancy birth and postnatal care. Participates in departmental team meetings and other committees whennecessary. Work flexibly across different wards/departments as indicated by serviceneeds.
